Well, I’m back. 

Sooooooo……  Here is my tale of recent computer woes.

My PC….was acting super super weird, and overheating if you looked at it wrong.  I finally got the stuff to clean it, and some thermal paste.  So…… I take off the heatsink, and….wow.   it was cracked.  HOW THE FUCK DOES THAT HAPPEN!??!?  there were scorch marks on the processor, and when I went to remove it, it just kinda fell off of the motherboard, leaving pins behind *sigh*  so…  well so much for that mobo and any hopes of revival.

Friends sent me a PC they built a couple of years ago, they didn’t use it anymore.  All I had to do, was pop in my hard drives.  Well…. not that simple, had to do complete reinstalls.  Would be so nice if Windows could just, switch computers and be fucking happy.  Anyway…. Got all of the installs done, all of the damned Windows updates done….. two days of installing.  Shut down PC and go to bed.  Get up the next day, turn on PC….. *whir* go the fans and….. it shuts down. DAMMIT!!!!   So, after talking to friend and doing a bunch of testing, seems the power supply decided it didn’t want to live anymore.

Soooooo, I spent 5 days Frankensteining both computers together.  I know I could have just moved my old power supply to the new box, but, my case is much larger, and easier for me to work in.  Sooooooo…. I moved everything.  it took a lot of reading manuals, a lot of cussing, and a lot of phone calls to get it built, but I did it.  All by myself. 

So now I have a working machine, with some weird issues , lol.  While working on PC, had keyboard on dresser.  Stupid cat spilled water in it. So, now when I hit tab, I also get a 9 *shrug* and…. when in a browser ,when I hit backspace, i go back a page, ROFL!!! wtf, that only happens in browser.  I can type in notepad and backspace works fine.     Also, there has to be a disc in dvd drive for machine to boot up *shrug* I have no fucking clue.  I’m just glad I can finally get back to my art programs again.

Hello my dear followers.  As some of you already know from dA or FB, I am … kinda floating about, with minimial computer time.

PC died….oh did it die.  When it happened, yes, I was phsically ill because, my PC is my life.  My art and creativity is there.  My videos are there.  My music, is there.  My friends…well, they are all online, so they are in my PC as well.

I should be up and running in a couple of weeks *crosses fingers*  In the meantime, I’m on a temperamental laptop, and parent’s laptop when one of them isn’t on it.

wow…. looking at my tumblr cloud, I say “fucking” a lot…  *sigh*  oh well.

It’s going to be a few days…maybe even a week inbetween decent art projects now.  I’m using an external render thing… Lux via Reality.  Supposedly does some gorgeous renders, the only problem, they take days to render.  Especially if you do large size like I am right now…  2000x2828.  There is a tradeoff for that time though, the program does NOT suck up all of my resources, which is nice.  So, I can render, and still work on other things.  To me, that is worth the wait I guess.  Also, it can pause a render, and finish it later.  aaaand, you can fix lighting on the fly.

Other news:  yay, I have no headache yet today!  hopefully, I can skip a headache day for once, that would be nice.
